The Issue

From my personal experience, I have seen the distressing exploitation of animals. Camels, native to deserted regions, are displaced from their natural environments and used as nothing more than attractions in bustling cities. They are paraded on the streets, offering joyrides to passersby for money. The issue goes beyond this practice; animals such as donkeys, buffaloes, and horses are unabashedly used in the transportation of heavy goods like construction materials and sand. They endure unbearable working conditions, bearing excessive loads without being given enough rest, food, or water.

These animals often succumb to severe injuries, exhaustion, and malnutrition. When they no longer serve their purpose, they are heartlessly abandoned and left to die. This atrocity is not isolated - according to a report by the World Animal Protection, over 200 million working animals are exploited worldwide, living short, painful lives (World Animal Protection, 2019 Report).

It is inhumane to turn a blind eye to these exploitative practices any longer. This is a plea for the immediate intervention of animal rights organizations, government bodies and the general public to take action against this abuse. Under the Animal Welfare Act, these animals have a right to suitable living conditions, proper nutrition, and humane treatment. That law needs to be upheld.

Your support for this petition can help raise awareness and potentially put a stop to these ungoverned practices. Each signature matters and brings us one step closer to a world where animals are treated with compassion and respect. Please, sign this petition and help us protect their rights.
