I am a resident of General Trias, Cavite, Philippines and I have witnessed a heartbreaking reality that has moved me to take action. Some people in our community are killing animals, particularly endangered species, for their own gain. These innocent creatures are being turned into clothes and other goods without regard for their lives or the balance of our ecosystem.

Our local wildlife is not just part of our natural heritage; it plays an integral role in maintaining ecological balance. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), when we lose species, we risk disrupting these balances which can lead to dire consequences.

The Philippines is home to more than 200 mammal species and over 600 bird species - many of which are endemic and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The loss of these unique creatures would be an irreplaceable blow not only to our country but also globally.

We need your help now more than ever. We must urge local authorities in General Trias, Cavite to enforce stricter laws against animal cruelty and illegal hunting or poaching activities.
