Stop the Increase of UK Spouse Visa Financial Requirements

Stop the Increase of UK Spouse Visa Financial Requirements
The Issue
Please everyone I request each and every single one of you please think about the sufferings and seperatation caused by this horrible law. It was near last Christmas the Torys annonced the £38,700 increase and broke many hearts and destroyed and brought this distress to many people. Please brighten up this Christmas for those families this year by gifting them hope and support and stop the increase so they can reunite with their loved ones and bring happy year for those suffering and working hard to reunite with their loved ones.
Recently Home Secretary Yvette Cooper annonced a pause to family visa salary hike to £38,700 until MAC review is complete. Meaning the new Labour government have not decided yet. We still dont know what will happen after the MAC review so its crucial now we highlight all the MIR issues to the government by getting all the support from our local MPs to back us up and fight for us. Please write to your MPs to stop the further increase and reduce the family visa in line with national minimum wage to make it more fairer for people whether they earn higher or lower income. Every Brit should have the equal rights to bring their loved ones over.
Government needs to stop playing Russian rullet with people's lives. New announcement of £29,000 is still too high for average British to earn. Even worse British people will be faced with a life full of uncertainty as the Home Secretary announced salary requirements will still increase up to £38,700 in sometime. This is showing lack of security for British people. They will now have to stop planning as things can change suddenly. This experimental attitude towards British people will not be accepted. As British people we have full rights to live life feeling secure and stable with our loved ones. Stop ignoring low income earning British people and start treating everyone equally. £29,000 is still too high for average British people who work very hard and enjoy very little time with their family and loved ones already.
(Case to be noted their has recently been a suicide case reported regarding a spouse visa increase. This comes to show how dangerous this increase can be for vulnerable Brits.)
As a hardworking citizen of the United Kingdom, I have been striving for years to create a life with my future spouse from abroad. My journey has been marked by personal struggles, including battling depression and securing employment that meets the current financial requirement for a UK Spouse visa - £18,600 per annum. Now, just as I am within reach of achieving this dream, it is threatened by proposed government changes to increase these financial requirements.
The current threshold already poses significant challenges for many Brits like me who work tirelessly yet earn modest incomes. The proposed increase would put an even greater strain on us and jeopardize our right to live in peace and happiness with our chosen partners.
This proposal is not only detrimental to individuals but also undermines the values of unity and family that we hold dear in Britain. According to Migration Observatory at Oxford University (2017), approximately 40% of British workers do not earn enough to sponsor a spouse's visa under existing rules. If these requirements are raised further, more families will be separated or prevented from forming at all.
We urge the government not only to reconsider this proposal but also review its approach towards migration policies that affect innocent citizens who simply wish to build their lives with their loved ones here in Britain.
Please sign this petition if you believe in love transcending borders and stand against unfair financial barriers separating families.
