WEAR GREEN ON THURSDAY TO THE MEETING! 6pm at PARADISE ACRES

The Grays Creek community in Cumberland County, North Carolina, is facing a critical decision regarding its future. The proposed incorporation attempts of our community threaten to introduce additional layers of government and taxes, with minimal positive impacts for residents.

Incorporating a community is not a decision to be taken lightly. It comes with increased bureaucratic overhead and financial burden on families that reside here. Currently, our essential services such as policing, fire protection, and schools are efficiently managed at the county level, and the organizer of the incorporation attempt has stated this would not change with incorporation.

The proposed incorporation does not guarantee any significant enhancements to public services or the infrastructure that we can already access in Cumberland County. Our community will be subject to additional property taxes, fees, and regulations, all of which could diminish the rights of property owners.

We must prioritize the voices of the Grays Creek residents and fight against unnecessary changes that offer little benefit but pose significant risks to our community's cohesion and financial health. The organizer of the incorporation attempt has made it clear that he is in favor of more commercial development in our area. Let us protect the unique rural character and spirit of Grays Creek by rejecting incorporation efforts.

Sign this petition to show your opposition to the incorporation of Grays Creek. Together, we can ensure that our community remains free from unnecessary government intervention and financial burden.
