Stop the Implementation of Digital Identification Cards through Iris Scanning in Kenya

Stop the Implementation of Digital Identification Cards through Iris Scanning in Kenya
The Issue
I am Zanelah, a Kenyan woman, deeply concerned about the future of my child and our nation. The thought of having my child's iris forcefully scanned and databased in a foreign country alarms me. Our government, under William Ruto's leadership, is partnering with the Bill Gates Foundation to implement digital identification cards through iris scanning - an initiative that was introduced without public participation.
We are not just citizens but stakeholders in our country’s future, yet we were not consulted on this matter which directly impacts our privacy and security. This lack of transparency infringes upon our right to participate in decisions that carry such profound implications for us all.
Moreover, it is important to note that Bill Gates is not part of our government nor an African citizen. His involvement raises questions about his intentions towards the black race given his known stance on population control. As Kenyans who cherish their cultural heritage and freedom to live and multiply naturally, we find this alarming.
Kenya has no direct ties with the USA; therefore it should respect our sovereignty by refraining from interfering with African matters. We need policies made by Africans for Africans – policies that respect our rights, traditions, and aspirations.
Therefore, we call upon you to join us in signing this petition against the implementation of digital identification cards through iris scanning without proper public consultation or consideration for its potential risks. Stand up for your right as a Kenyan citizen today!
