We, the undersigned, urge AITE to maintain its established A/B schedule, which has been highly successful for over 20 years.

The proposed flexible schedule presents serious risks. It will create significant 7- to 12-month learning gaps, disrupt instructional continuity, and introduce instability—especially given the size of our school. As an interdistrict magnet school of choice, AITE’s very future is at stake.

Students, particularly those with special needs, require time to absorb and process the curriculum. Cramming a year’s worth of material into a semester will diminish both instructional quality and student learning outcomes.

We call on the Superintendent to reverse the decision to eliminate AITE’s popular and proven A/B schedule. Furthermore, we urge the Board of Education to reconsider its support for this untested flexible schedule and to prioritize what is best for AITE students.
