Petition updateSTOP THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT TONGFIELD, BROMLEY CROSS, BOLTON.

It's time to make your stand. Deadline 08/03/2026* (date updated).

Karen WBolton, ENG, United Kingdom
5 Feb 2026

It's time to make your voice heard.

We're fast approaching the deadline for making your own individual objection to the Tongfield housing development to Bolton Council.

The more individual objections we have, the stronger our case is against the proposed development.

So please, take 10 minutes of your day, to write an objection, to help save Tongfields, to stop another development being crammed into an already over populated area, and adding more traffic to our already busy roads.

How long has it taken you to get to work, school or college this week? (Well it'll get a whole lot longer if this development goes ahead.)

How to object?

Please go to the following website:

You will need to register your details to create an account.

SEARCH reference: 21506/25

Go to ''comments'.

Under 'stance' ensure you click 'object'.

Within the comments section think about how the proposed development will affect you individually, how it will affect your family, friends, your neighbours and local community.

How they're trying to deem the land grey belt, even though it is greenbelt.

Taking our green space away from us and our local wildlife.

Removing a space where we can exercise, dog walk, socialise and explore.

The impact on traffic levels.

Increase in wear and tear of local roads.

The unsafe access via Kiln field.

The affect on the homes in the immediate vicinity to the field, how much the building work will directly affect them, how the view from their homes will be changed for ever.

The impact to us all during the construction, the company vehicles coming and going, the digging, the deliveries, the noise and air pollution etc.

The lack of infrastructure.

The increase in air and noise pollution.

More pressure on local services i.e. schools GPs and dentists.

Please object, and thank you for your time.
