(Copied from the DRA group)

New deadline: 5th February 2026

Dear neighbour,

Many of us in Dunscar, on the Higher Ridings estate and in the wider area are concerned about the proposed Tongfields housing development and the impact it will have on our Green Belt, local services, roads, and environment.

A planning application, reference 21506/25, has been submitted for the development. You can view it online by going to  https://paplanning.bolton.gov.uk/online-applications/ and searching for Tongfields, then selecting the application titled “OUTLINE APPLICATION FOR THE ERECTION OF UP TO 86 RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGS, PUBLIC OPEN SPACE AND …”.

You can submit your objection by email, by post or online. We recommend you do this via email or post as many people have been unable to use the online portal.

How to object by post:
Send your objection to
Planning Control, Development Management, Town Hall, Bolton, BL1 1RU
Make sure to include your name, full postal address, reference 21506/25 and your objection.

How to object by email:
Send your objection to planning.control@bolton.gov.uk We would also appreciate cc to dunscar.residents@yahoo.com if possible.
Make sure to include your name, full postal address, reference 21506/25 and your objection.

How to object online:
Go to https://paplanning.bolton.gov.uk/online-applications/ search for 21506/25 or “Tongfields” and click on the application titled “OUTLINE APPLICATION FOR THE ERECTION OF UP TO 86 RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGS, PUBLIC OPEN SPACE AND …”. You can access the comments section via the comments tab. You will need to register an account.

Why object?
• Loss of Green Belt land
• Pressure on GP, dentists and schools
• Traffic and unsafe access via Kiln Field
• No meaningful improvement to green space or services

Please ensure your objection reaches the council before 5th February 2026.
