The proposed development is completely inappropriate at this site within the AONB and adjacent to the Cotswold Way. Approval would contradict planning policy principles within the AONB, previous precedent on an adjacent site (also upheld at appeal) and send a powerful message to residents that CDC is prepared to bend the rules and trample on their interests if necesary when a political target has to be met.
