STOP THE GOVERNMENT FROM LETTING COMPANIES TREAT STAFF LIKE DIRT!
The Issue
LET’S STAND UP TO ALL COMPANIES LIKE NLC WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER, AND BE TREATING THEIR STAFF BETTER, LIKE HUMANS IN STEAD OF DIRT ON THEIR SHOE. LET’S GIVE THE STAFF 1 FULL YEAR TO RAISE A GRIEVANCE INSTEAD OF 3 MONTHS ‼️‼️‼️
My reason for this petition is because I’ve had messages of people ATTEMPTING SUICIDE, being bullied, going off sick with cancer to return and be told “ we don’t have that job anymore” the lack of support, not taking the recommendations of doctors they are paying (highly) to make disabled people’s life’s a bit easier! (I have proof the people sent me exactly what I’ve stated above).
Hi I’m Tina a 41yr old woman from North Lanarkshire. In 2018 I was diagnosed with blood cancer. I had been with NLC as a home support worker since 2008 until September this year 2024 when I realised I couldn’t do it anymore. From asking for redeployment in 2019 (quickly made to change my mind) to attending Several occupational health meetings where “reasonable adjustments under the equality act 2010” were ignored time after time after time! In the last 2 years in particular it’s been really tough. In 2022 I needed iron infusion and rest, then as I was returning to work my mum unexpectedly passed away, despite needing operations I returned to work and never missed a day until I got a call saying I was finally getting the operations I NEEDED, so I took the time off and that led to a level 3 attendance meeting “where my capability would be looked at” WHY??? For YEARS I have been forced to work with people I shouldn’t have been working with, my manager was well aware and done nothing to make sure I was only working with the people I should have been. That IS DISCRIMINATION AGAINST ME AND MY CONDITION….. NOW I am taking them the full way for discrimination and constructive dismissal! But some people can’t, THE TIME HAS PASSED AND I FEEL THE TIMEFRAME OF 3 MONTHS TO RAISE A GRIEVANCE IS TOO SHORT!!!
This is so PEOPLE HAVE A VOICE, RIGHT NOW THE GOVERNMENT currently has a policy in place where people ONLY HAVE 3 MONTHS TO RAISE A CASE OF GRIEVANCE. THATS NOT LONG ENOUGH! I WANT THAT TIMEFRAME EXTENDED! People need to grieve, heal, get mentally strong again. THEY NEED MORE TIME TO RAISE A CASE OF DISCRIMINATION OR CONSTRUCTIVE DISMISSAL. Right now EVERYTHING is geared towards them, if I have my way THE PEOPLE WILL HAVE AT LEAST A YEAR TO BRING A CASE AGAINST THEIR EMPLOYER FOR ANY MENTIONED ABOVE!
HOW MUCH LONGER ARE WE PUTTING UP WITH THIS! WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS BEING TREATED LIKE DIRT! PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO GIVE PEOPLE A VOICE AGAINST CORPORATIONS AND THEIR BULLY MENTALITY!!
MANY MANY THANKS I know that’s a long read but they’ve done it to the wrong person this time! I’m taking NLC (my ex employer) ALL THE WAY and today receiving the message I did about the lady being bullied to the point of trying to take her own life and I thought NO there must be more I can do to help! Hopefully this is it 🙏🏻
