Rishi Sunak has said by the end of 2023 XL Bulldogs will be banned from UK due to their aggression & the number of attacks on humans in the last month.

This is absolutely barbaric and I am sick of hearing the threats of banning dog breeds from this country, when will these people see and understand that IT IS ALL DOWN TO THE OWNERS.

If their owners would take responsibility and ensure:

1) They absolutely had no chance of escaping their homes and gardens

2) If they are known to get off lead (somehow!) when on a walk, have them wear a muzzle and harness just in case

3) If they know their dog is reactive, nervous, has a temper then don’t allow them to be around other people, especially vulnerable people

4) If they kept their dogs securely on lead when out

…. then these accidents wouldn’t happen!!!

It makes my blood boil thinking of the poor dogs sat waiting to be euthanised because of the stupid, irresponsible owners who let these attacks happen.

I also believe YES bull breeds are going to cause more problems if they go to attack, they have the strongest jaws! That doesn’t mean they are more likely to attack than a Jack Russell, a Labrador, a Spaniel… 

Because of their looks the bull breeds are also more appealing to the chavvy, show offs, irresponsible, inexperienced people because they make them look harder and their reputations better… any dog in their hands would end up this way!!

OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE, BAN THEM NOT THE BREED!!!
