I am deeply moved to write this petition because of a heart-wrenching reality. Palestinian children, some of them no older than myself, are losing their lives every day due to the ongoing conflict. This is not just a statistic; it's a horrifying truth that we must confront.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that between 2008 and 2020, over 3,400 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces. Among these victims were hundreds of innocent children whose only crime was being born in a war-torn region. Now, over 28,064 Palestinians have been killed since October 7th, 2023.  

This is not just an issue about politics or territory; it's about humanity and justice. It's about recognizing that every life has value and deserves protection. It's about standing up against oppression and violence wherever they occur.

Genocide is defined as acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group. The situation in Palestine fits this definition all too well.

We cannot stand by while innocent lives are lost. We must raise our voices against this injustice and demand an end to the violence plaguing Palestine.
