Since I launched this petition, the violence has continued. Most recently, an Ethiopian Orthodox church was reportedly struck by a drone, resulting in the deaths of eight monks and badly injured more who were praying in the building.  https://borkena.com/2026/07/22/ethiopia-drone-strike-hits-historic-monastery-in-amhara-region-causing-casualties/

These tragic events remind us that many innocent people continue to suffer. We must be a voice for those who are facing persecution, violence, and displacement because of their faith and identity.
