Stop the Forced Rehoming of Elvis and Rosie, the Mini Pigs

The Issue

Elvis and Rosie are two special needs mini pigs who have been lovingly cared for in their home in Oyster Bay for six years. Despite being harmless indoor pets, a complaint has led to the Town of Oyster Bay forcing their rehoming. This decision disregards the emotional bond between these animals and their caregivers, as well as the fact that mini pigs are known to be intelligent, social creatures that form strong bonds with their human families (American Mini Pig Association). Furthermore, there is no evidence suggesting they pose any threat or disturbance to local residents. We believe this action is unjustified and unfair both to Elvis and Rosie's family and to them. We urge authorities in Massapequa, NY, USA to reconsider this decision based on these facts. Please sign this petition if you believe in fair treatment for all pets regardless of species.
