Parents and Residents of Culver City
Sep 10, 2015
The first round of signatures and comments from residents and concerned citizens opposing the proposed NextGen flight paths over Culver City has been sent to the FAA on Sept. 8th, the official deadline. Thank you for all your support and behind-the-scene work to inform our community of the looming threat to our beloved city from the superhighway that the FAA proposes to build over our Culver City skies. We have accomplished in a few days what other cities have taken months to achieve. However, the work is not over. Please continue to spread the word and inform as many friends, family members, neighbors, and businesses as possible and urge them to sign this petition as the first step to voice their concerns and show unity as a community. The proposed NextGen flight paths over Culver City will affect us all directly or indirectly, whether they are directly above our homes, schools, or businesses, or 5 blocks away. We will all breathe the same air. Our property values, businesses, and the characteristics of our city will change as a whole. Let this be an issue that unite us and not divide us. Our strong show of support, unity, and activism will help our elected representatives be in the best possible negotiation position when they sit across the table from the FAA. If you would like to become more actively involved and collectively organize our next response to the FAA, please contact: culver.city.for.quiet.skies@gmail.com
