The Issue

Animals are not toys; you don’t use them for money and then let them suffer and die. This is the harsh reality faced by horses used in a specific tourist attractions in Phuket. These majestic creatures are subjected to deplorable living conditions that not only endanger their lives but also pose serious safety risks to the public.

Currently, these horses endure life without proper shelter or stables. They often go without consistent access to food and clean water, leaving them malnourished and dehydrated. The lack of veterinary care is shocking, with untreated wounds and self-inflicted injuries becoming a norm. These horses are not provided the necessary financial support to ensure their well-being.

The situation cannot continue unaddressed; it has led to multiple dangerous incidents recently. Horses have escaped onto busy roads on two occasions, and there has been a terrifying scene with horses running loose on the beach. These incidents resulted in several people being injured, highlighting the urgent need for intervention.

Abused and neglected, these horses are at risk, and it is our moral duty to protect them and ensure their humane treatment. We call upon local authorities to enforce stricter regulations and ensure proper welfare standards for horses used in the tourism industry.

We need robust measures, including regular inspections and substantial fines for non-compliance, to make sure that no horse suffers for human entertainment. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals. Sign this petition to demand change and end this cruelty once and for all.
