The Issue

Iran is facing a grave human-rights crisis that demands immediate international action.

For decades, the Islamic Republic of Iran has systematically violated fundamental human rights with impunity. In recent weeks, these abuses have escalated dramatically. Peaceful protesters have been killed, tens of thousands of people have been arrested, many now face imminent execution, and countless detainees are being subjected to torture, enforced confessions, and inhuman treatment simply for demanding basic freedoms.

Families are left in fear and uncertainty. Trials are conducted without due process. Death sentences are issued to silence dissent. These actions constitute serious violations of international human-rights law and may amount to crimes against humanity.

The silence and inaction of the international community can no longer continue.

We, the undersigned; people from around the world who believe in human dignity, justice, and freedom, call on democratic governments and parliaments, the United Nations, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and all relevant international bodies to act immediately and decisively.

We urgently demand:

  • An immediate halt to all executions in Iran
  • An end to torture, enforced confessions, and cruel or degrading treatment of detainees
  • The immediate release of political prisoners and individuals detained during and after December 28th, 2025
  • International investigations and accountability for those responsible for serious human-rights violations

Concern and condemnation are no longer sufficient. Meaningful action is required, including diplomatic pressure, targeted sanctions against responsible officials, and the use of international legal mechanisms to hold perpetrators accountable.

So far, around 30 people have reportedly been officially sentenced to execution by the Islamic Revolutionary Court. Only eighteen names have been publicly released; the remaining names will be added once they are made public. This does not include those who have died as a result of torture carried out by regime forces during interrogations.

This is not only an Iranian issue. It is a global human-rights emergency. The continued persecution, torture, and execution of people for exercising their fundamental rights is an assault on universal values shared by all humanity.

By signing this petition, we stand with the people of Iran and affirm that human rights are not negotiable, culture-dependent, or optional. We refuse to be silent while lives are destroyed by state violence.

Together, we call for action.
Together, we demand justice.
Together, we stand for freedom and human dignity.
