Taylor Rene Parker was given the death penalty on November 9, 2022 in Dallas, Texas for the capital murder and kidnapping of a young pregnant woman and her unborn child.

In months leading to the murder, Parker faked a full-term pregnancy out of fear of her boyfriend leaving her and researched ways to deliver a baby. She held a gender reveal party and falsified ultrasounds. She then stabbed 21-year-old Reagon Simmons Hancock multiple times and ripped her unborn child from her womb. Medical professionals confirmed the baby had a heartbeat when kidnapped. Parker took the child to a hospital after the infant was unresponsive and was soon arrested after it was found out the baby was not hers. 

According to Daily Mail, "Parker was asked why she did it, she said: 'I wasn't in my right mind. I was freaking out.'" According to KSLA News 12, a neurologist identified Parker with having "frontal lobe syndrome in the brain," in other words he believes her brain to be "broken."

The loss of the unborn child is evidently considered as a murder in this case, but in the case of abortion, the killing of the unborn is considered "reproductive rights and care." 

As a pro-life / pro-woman organization we condemn publicly sanctioned lethal violence against all human beings from conception to natural death, including the violence of the death penalty, abortion and war.  We believe the use of deadly violence as a resolution only perpetuates the visceral, complex problems it intends to erase and dehumanizes and degrades all people.

Please sign the petition asking Governor Abbott and the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to take Parker off death-row and reverse her sentence to life in prison without parole.
