Suzanne Basso inmate #999329# currently resides at the Estelle Unit, where she has been almost her entire period on Death Row. The Estelle Unit is a unit for men,  She suffers severe mental health issues, and is otherwise very ill and dependent on diapers and a wheelchair, because she is paralyzed from her chest down. So ill, no women's facility in the entire State can accommodate her needs.

We feel that it would be especially cruel and unusual to punish her by lethal injection, which Texas has scheduled to take place February 5 2014.For that reason we ask of you to set aside her death sentence and commute her sentence to life. With her current health status , she is of no threat to anyone. It is the humane thing to do.
