Stop the Eviction of Pappas Restaurants from Hobby
The Issue
UPDATE: Unfortunately, the Houston City Council voted against keeping us at Hobby Airport this morning. We are disappointed in the City of Houston’s decision. Houstonians deserve a fair and transparent procurement process that supports local businesses. We did not get that from our leaders.
At Pappas, we’re a family, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to keep our team together. We’ll be offering all Hobby team members jobs at our street-side locations. Our employees who wish to be transferred will receive the same compensation, benefits, and seniority as their current position.
We have been so honored by the support we’ve received from both near and far. More than 50,000 signed the petition for us to remain in Hobby, and we’re overwhelmed with gratitude. We genuinely wish your voices would have been heard.
We have enjoyed reading all your comments and the stories many of you shared. If you still want to share a memory with us, please do so here >> https://bit.ly/SaveOurPappas
Thank you again for your support. We have enjoyed feeding all of you on your travels through Hobby Airport and hope to serve you again soon at one of our street-side locations.
Best,
Chris Pappas & Harris Pappas

The Pappas family has been feeding Houston locals and visitors for many years around the city and at our airports. At Hobby, we’ve created over 400 jobs and served countless meals with your favorite brands: Pappadeaux, Pappasito’s, Pappas Bar-B-Q, and more.
As Houston natives with a passion for diverse and delicious food, we are eager to keep serving travelers at Hobby. But the City wants to replace the local restaurants you know and love with a company with no ties to our city and no track record of success in the community.
Please show your support for local business by signing our online petition to #SaveOurPappas and #KeepHobbyAirportLocal
We look forward to serving you and your family again soon.
Thank you!
