Today Judge George J. Hazel of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland ruled that the Trump administration violated the law with the creation of a citizenship question on the 2020 Census.

This is the third time a judge has ruled against the inclusion of the question. But the fight is not over. The U.S. Supreme Court will hear an appeal from the New York case on April 23, and appeals from California and Maryland are expected.
