Do you want a say in what any sponsorship deal looks like?

We are calling for the cancellation of the 3-year sponsorship agreement with the Parramatta Eels. The decision was made behind closed doors and without consultation with community members. This is our tax money going to this sponsorship deal that could be better spent. As such, we DO NOT agree with re-directing a large amount of public money that could be spent on upgrading playgrounds past their used-by date, a backlog of footpaths needing repair, fixing 100+ damaged stormwater pits, replacing the large number of gross pollutant traps across the LGA not working properly and letting tonnes of rubbish wash into our waterways litter and filling 200 vacant Council positions. 

We expect the Parramatta Council to make decisions on how its public funds are spent in an open, transparent and consistent way and by following robust governance procedures.
