Timothy Brehmer was a serving Dorset Police officer when he killed nurse Claire Parry in the car park of a public house in Dorset.

In October 2020 he was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to custody. The case was referred to the Court of Appeal and his sentence was increased after being found to be unduly lenient. 

This was an act of violence by a man against a woman because Claire was going to tell Brehmer's wife about their 10 year long affair. Claire died as a result of strangulation which Brehmer lied about to the investigating officers. He even injured himself with a knife and tried to blame Claire for it.
