Impassioned individuals, each with unique perspectives and important information spoke against Duke Energy's plan to destroy the Foothills....go to this link to hear the full testimony of several individuals. This hearing was a full 4 hours of testimony during which at least 650 (the most the auditorium could hold per fire code) listened while another 150 folks were either turned away at the door or waited outside til some folks left around 9 pm--- the venue was too small or the interest in this topic too large for Landrum High School's auditorium, graciously provided by the school district. In the interest of time and because this forum was an actual judicial hearing, attendees were admonished many times to hold our applause, but sometimes it was just too hard to do.
