All appears quiet on the Turquoise Towers/Vela front. That doesn’t mean we can let down our guard. We need to use this time to keep up the opposition. Here are some ways you can help.
There are a number of new housing laws before the California state legislature. If you remember, a loophole in the Bonus Density law passed by state lawmakers gave us the prospect of a 23-story hotel/housing tower in Pacific Beach.
Well, new laws will be voted on in the next state legislative session. Remind your reps to carefully review these proposed laws before voting on them. Let’s let them know the community can’t take any more mistakes.
