The town of Cleethorpes, town end Pier gardens, providing a serene environment for both tourists and locals, especially the elderly who frequent the area. However, there is a plan to develop a new skate park between Sea View,  Alexander Road, and Sea Rd ,as  Pier   fallen victim  as part of a larger not necssery excavation revamp. This presents a significant health and safety risk And the deep /heavy Exscavation alone are a significant flood risk due to proximity of the sea.

Imagine a peaceful day in the park, with families, elderly individuals, and tourists taking leisurely strolls along the footways of Pier Gardens. Now, picture the chaos that could ensue with skateboarders speeding by, potentially out of control. The risk of accidents and collisions will increase exponentially, putting pedestrians at risk of serious injury. The current plan does not provide any assurance that skateboarders will remain within their designated areas, leading to a real danger for those enjoying the vicinity.

Moreover, the noise pollution from skateboarding activities could disrupt the otherwise quiet and relaxing atmosphere that people cherish. Living in harmony should be a priority, and integrating such a dynamic and, frankly, noisy facility into this peaceful locale is not fitting, nor is it reflective of the desires of the community.

There are alternative solutions that need to be explored. Possibly relocating the skate park to a less pedestrian-congested area in Cleethorpes could be a win-win solution, allowing skateboarders their space without compromising the safety and comfort of the town end of the park's regular visitors. Collaborative planning with community involvement is crucial to ensure the town's beautification aligns with the needs and safety of all its residents.

If not I urge you to act now Contact the councils project Manager,and request an emergency stop to these continued works, and  detaile how this is affecting your lives and your Community that of Vissitors and Suggest to the Council to reallocate the Funding to the other end near the Former Fantassy island /Wonderland that area would suit a Skate park much better,than changing town end Pier gardens ,which was of historical and Scientific interest to all and there tearing  it up underneath our feet.
