Thank you so much for the support and lending your voices to this important issue. A special shout out to Jerry M., who has helped us reach the Bluff Country community. I've also reached out to our neighbors in the Woodland Ponds development.
In less than 48 hours, we have more than 85 signatures! But we need more to reinforce the many issues associated with this proposed development. I'd encourage each of you to reach out to any family, friends, or colleagues who will also be negatively impacted (particularly by the increased traffic on Hennepin and Pioneer). I'll plan to share the results of this petition with the EP senior planner in charge of this project by Wednesday, June 9. I'll also share any direct comments or statements that you've sent to me so they're put into the public record. If you can make it, I'd strongly encourage everyone to attend the June 14 public hearing in person (7 p.m. @ City Center). It's important that they hear a full chorus of the many concerns with this development -- as you know, the planning staff recently told me they will be recommending that the Planning Commission move forward with this project. This is the furthest a plan like this has progressed for that site.
