Save Our Wildlife – Protect Our Green Spaces

Southill Fields, Radipole Lane, Weymouth, is made up of three large fields and an old spinney. This green space is loved and used daily by our community for dog walks, family walks, children playing, nature walks, and even horse riding.

Now, this much-loved land is under threat. Plans are being put forward to build 350 houses on two of the fields, destroying precious green space forever.

The impact on wildlife will be devastating. Southill Fields is home to:

🦉 Buzzards and kestrels

🦌 Deer

🦊 Foxes

🦡 Badgers

🐍 Slow worms and lizards

🐭 Dormice

Once this habitat is gone, where will they go?

This is not just about protecting wildlife – it’s about protecting the heart of our community. Green spaces like Southill Fields improve our wellbeing, give children safe places to play, and offer all of us a chance to connect with nature.

We call on Dorset planning authority – to stop this development and protect Southill Fields for people, wildlife, and future generations.
