Stop the Destruction of Kancha Gachibowli Forest – Save Our Wildlife and Environment

The Issue

The 400-acre forest near Kancha Gachibowli in Hyderabad is under serious threat due to planned deforestation and development. This beautiful and ecologically rich forest is home to over 700 plant species, 200+ bird species, and numerous animals including peacocks, spotted deer, wild boars, and more. It plays a vital role in regulating climate, purifying air, and offering a safe haven for countless wildlife species.

Recently, the Telangana State Government has moved forward with plans to auction this forest land to industrial developers. The result? Bulldozers have already begun destroying trees. Heartbreaking videos show innocent animals getting injured, confused, and terrified as their homes are destroyed. One video even showed an injured elephant trying to stop a bulldozer – a silent cry for help that we cannot ignore.

We, the concerned citizens of India and supporters of environmental protection, demand an immediate stop to the deforestation of Kancha Gachibowli forest.

We request the Telangana Government and all responsible authorities to:

1. Immediately stop the clearing of forest land in Kancha Gachibowli.

2. Conduct a transparent and scientific Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

3. Declare this forest as a Protected Green Zone or Wildlife Habitat.

4. Explore sustainable development plans that do not destroy natural ecosystems.

This forest is not just land – it is life for hundreds of animals, birds, and plants. If we do not act now, we will lose a green treasure forever.

Please sign this petition to show your support in saving this forest and protecting the voiceless animals who depend on it.

Together, we can be their voice. Together, we can stop this destruction.
