The Issue

This petition is for Bedico Creek residents, property owners, and supporters who oppose the destruction of our existing green space and paved walking/golf cart path and who oppose approval of Case 2025-4205-TP in its current form.

For nearly 20 years, this park-like green space and paved walking/golf cart path have been one of Bedico Creek's most treasured community amenities. Located on the former golf course, this beautifully landscaped area provides a safe place for walking, jogging, biking, golf carts, and family recreation while preserving the open character that makes Bedico Creek unique.

We are not opposed to responsible development. We simply believe development should not come at the expense of destroying an established community asset when a better alternative exists. New homes could instead be located south of the existing pathway, preserving the green space, the paved path, and a natural buffer between existing and future homes.

The current concept plan for Case 2025-4205-TP would eliminate much of this long-established green space and paved pathway to construct additional residential lots. It would also bring new homes significantly closer to existing homes by removing the natural green buffer that has existed for nearly two decades.

Residents have paid HOA dues for nearly 20 years to maintain, landscape, and preserve this beautiful area. It is not vacant land—it is one of Bedico Creek's most valued amenities and is used by hundreds of residents every week for recreation, exercise, and enjoying the outdoors. Once this community asset is destroyed, it can never be replaced.

We respectfully ask the St. Tammany Parish Planning Commission and the St. Tammany Parish Council to deny Case 2025-4205-TP unless the plan is revised to preserve the existing green space and paved walking/golf cart path while allowing responsible development to move forward.

If you oppose the destruction of this green space and paved pathway and oppose approval of Case 2025-4205-TP in its current form, please sign this petition.

If you are a Bedico Creek resident or property owner, please include your street address (or at least your street name) in your comment so decision-makers know this petition represents the voices of the people who live in our community.
