SAVE F F S I, SAVE DEMOCRACY

Sarga Film Society, Payyannoor, Keralam submitted an appeal to the Central Council of F F S I through General Secretary as per section 5(iv) of the bye laws . There was not even an acknowledgement to it from him, let alone brought it to the attention of the members or placed before the Council for consideration. So we requested to provide us with the contact details of C C members to communicate with them personally, which was also ignored. Then we had contacted all Regional Councils for the details of C C members of the respective region. Only Southern Region responded positively but with reservations. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- FFSI (SR) 9/2/15 to me, ranganarhan, R.Mani, C.S., Premendra Dear Sri Ramakrishnan Mr. V.K. Joseph mentioned one of his mail Sub-Regional Office is not a sub-ordinate to Regional Office. They are working independently. Hence, Southern Region is no way connected with this issue. Only Central Office has to take action in this regard. As requested we are attaching the list of CC members of Southern Region with their email ids & phone numbers. With regards Bh.S.S. But we do not know whether it was taken into cognizance or passed on to others. Anyway, now it is absolutely sure that the petition was not placed before the C C as per 5(v) of the bye laws. That is why I, the signatory of the appeal, started this petition for the C C to act. I presume that most of the members of 2014-'16 are voted back without much change and all are awaiting the new C C to be constituted in the meeting of both the outgoing and newly elected members. Whatever! My request to you all is to take up the appeal petition of Sarga Film Society in the ensuing meeting and proceed further, failing which the democratic base of F F S I will be jeopardized.
