We are pleased to share that Fatou has been released and is now back with the community that loves and fought for her.

She was released on Wednesday, and while we were overjoyed to see her free, the emotional and physical toll is clear Fatou remains visibly shaken, unwell, and exhausted. The trauma of detention does not end with release.

We are incredibly grateful to every single person who took action — from signing this petition, contacting MPs, calling airlines, making donations, to joining protests and vigils. Your collective strength made a difference. People Power brought her home.

In true Home Office fashion, Fatou was asked to report to Liverpool Reporting Centre today, just days after her release. Limping and in distress, she attended with supporters. We made a brief stop at Four Wings, a local support group she calls her second home. There were tears, hugs, and joy, but Fatou needed to return home quickly to rest.

This is a win for us all, but we know the fight is not over.

Fatou’s legal battle is still ongoing, and she is not yet safe. Many others remain detained

Let’s keep going.
