Azeem speaks 6 languages and has been able to support other south east Asians at the detention centre. There was a fight on Friday evening between two different groups which meant all detainees had to be locked earlier in their cells and the atmosphere has been quite tense over the weekend. 

Azeem's legal team are preparing a fresh bail application which should be submitted this week. Also a CrowdJustice crowdfunding platform towards legal costs is expected to go live tomorrow. So far from generous donations £7,000.00 has been raised to enable the bail application and judicial review to go ahead. The CrowdJustice site we anticipate will enable Azeem's lawyers to find resources and expert witnesses to further his appeal. 

Meanwhile the BBC have been filming a short video about Azeem's situation as questions are raised about the particular vulnerability of Christians to religious persecution at this particular time in the world. More details on both these initiatives to follow.
