For 10 months, our City Council assured us that lost downtown parking would be replaced. But at Tuesday’s meeting, just before approving the RFP, they quietly REMOVED the replacement requirement. Now, parking replacement is only a “priority.” Translation: optional.
They were hoping no one was paying attention. But we were.
We all want to trust our representatives. But in Menlo Park today, city officials are ignoring residents and misrepresenting their intentions.
Here’s how you can help:
- Share this update so your neighbors know what happened.
- Sign the petition. If you are a Menlo Park voter and haven’t signed our Citizens Initiative yet, stop by one of these downtown businesses to sign. (Every signature above the minimum shows our strength.)
- Donate to the campaign. The election may not be until June, but with proper funding we can build the foundation to win.
And we need to win.
Thank you,
Save Downtown Menlo
