I am a resident of Jarrell, TX, living near the proposed site of a massive data center project, and I am deeply concerned for the safety and well-being of the children at Jarrell High School and the families in our close-knit community. The development of a data center next to our school threatens to introduce constant noise pollution, heavy truck traffic, and significant water and power consumption that could jeopardize the health, safety, and educational environment of our local students.

While we understand the need for technological expansion and economic growth, placing such a large industrial project near schools and homes is not the solution. Data centers, with their continuous operation and high demand for resources, can undermine the peaceful and safe conditions that our community has come to cherish. The relentless hum of servers, increased vehicular movement, and strain on local resources pose direct risks to the students' ability to focus and learn effectively.

Moreover, the increase in heavy truck traffic required for construction and maintenance will lead to dangerous road conditions, especially near a school zone. This not only endangers students and residents but also disrupts the daily lives of community members who use these roads regularly.

In addition to noise and traffic issues, the proposed data center's usage of water and electricity is concerning. Such facilities require vast amounts of water for cooling and substantial electricity to maintain operations, thereby putting a strain on local resources and potentially leading to higher costs and environmental degradation in our area.

Our community deserves to be free from industrial encroachments that threaten our educational institutions' sanctity and residents' quality of life. We urge the city officials and planning departments to reconsider the appropriateness of this data center's location and to seek a more suitable site that does not lie in close proximity to schools and family homes.
