I'm the City Manager for Coffeyville, and I want to speak directly to the concerns raised in this petition.

I've been the one having the direct conversations with the data center companies interested in our community. My role is to gather information, ask hard questions, and bring a recommendation to our City Commissioners — but the final decision rests with them, not with me alone.

I know residents have real questions about what this could mean for our infrastructure, our utilities, and our taxpayers, and I want to make sure people have accurate information as this moves forward. That's why we're holding a resident and utility customer information session on August 6th at 6 PM. This will be an opportunity for Coffeyville residents to hear directly from the City and ask questions before anything is decided.

I take the concerns raised here seriously, and I'd encourage anyone following this issue to attend the session.
