Stop the Culling of Brumbies in Australia's Alpine Areas

The issue

I have recently become deeply invested in the plight of Australia's brumbies, wild horses that have adapted to life in our Alpine regions. These magnificent creatures deserve to live freely and unharmed, yet they are being culled under the guise of progress.

While we see extensive construction for projects like Snowy 2.0 and ski resorts causing significant damage to these pristine environments, it is the brumbies who are blamed for environmental degradation and targeted for removal. When did mankind get to decide which animals live and die in the name of progress?

Brumbies have been part of our Australian heritage for over a century, contributing significantly to our cultural landscape. Yet their population has been declining due to culling practices justified by misdirected environmental concerns.

It is time we shift our focus from blaming these innocent creatures towards addressing human-induced environmental changes that pose a greater threat to these ecosystems.

Let us stand together against this unjust culling practice and advocate for humane management strategies that respect both wildlife and our environment.

Please sign this petition today if you believe in protecting Australia's brumbies from unnecessary harm.
