Complaints of animal cruelty and neglect have been reported for over a decade at Friesians of Majesty (FOM) owned by Robert Labrie.  The organization Dorset Equine Rescue has assisted law enforcement in the seizure of 74 horses.  However, there are still over 30 horses on the property.  Today a judge decided the fate of 20 horses in a forfeiture hearing.   Nineteen are free to be adopted.  But one mare must return to her abusers.   I just picture the fear in her eyes when she is returned  

We the undersigned demand strict  oversight of FOM.  Vermont Fish and Wildlife need to perform a welfare check  at minimum of  every two weeks.  The starvation must be stopped. These horses are  skin and bones when they are finally seized.  Some are going directly to vet hospitals and others have been euthanized because they were too far gone.  How can the state not see that prolonging the management of this case is cruelty in itself until these horses are on deaths door is cruelty in itself!  

We are requesting Judge John Treadwell redact  the decision of returning the mare known as Angelina. Judge Treadwell please do the right thing approve seizure of the remaining horses and ensure that Robert Labrie is banned  from having any animals for life!   Allowing the continued starvation of these horses is complacency.
