Stop the Cruel Plan to Lock Up Dogs – Just vaccinate them, don't jail them

Stop the Cruel Plan to Lock Up Dogs – Just vaccinate them, don't jail them
The Issue
To: Supreme Court of India, Delhi Government, MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi)
We, the animal lovers and citizens of India, strongly oppose the recent decision to capture all street dogs and put them in shelters or cages in the name of controlling dog bites and rabies.
Reality is very different: Street dogs attack only when humans beat, kick or abuse them first.
Many cruel people buy breed dogs and later abandon them on the streets when they cannot handle their expenses. These abandoned dogs also become aggressive and scared.
Cruel breeders force dogs to produce puppies again and again just for profit. Buying and selling these breed dogs is the real crime.
Government’s plan is not a solution:
Building shelters for thousands of dogs will cost HUGE money, and we all know that most shelters in India become death camps due to lack of food, staff and care.
In the name of “shelter”, dogs will be killed quietly. That is animal cruelty and murder.
Real, humane and scientific solution: ✅ Mass vaccination program against rabies
✅ Sterilization (birth control surgery) to stop overpopulation
✅ Public awareness about kindness & adoption
✅ Strict action against animal abusers and illegal breeders
✅ Promote adoption of desi street dogs instead of buying breed dogs
Our demands:
1. Cancel the order of capturing and caging all street dogs.
2. Restart ABC (Animal Birth Control) & vaccination programs immediately.
3. Strictly punish those who dump breed dogs on streets.
4. Recognize that dogs are innocent beings and part of our ecosystem – not criminals.
5. Work with NGOs and animal lovers to create a peaceful co-existence.
Street dogs भी इस धरती के जीव हैं — उन्हें “jail” में डालना या मारना किसी भी सभ्य समाज को शोभा नहीं देता.
We request the Hon’ble Supreme Court and Delhi Government to stop this cruel step and choose compassion and science instead.
🙏 हम बस इतना कहते हैं:
"Vaccinate Them, Don’t Cage Them"
