• Lithium-ion battery fires release dangerous gases including hydrogen fluoride, carbon monoxide, and other toxic compounds.
• Proximity to Holland town limits increases potential risk to residents, schools, and emergency responders.

Aviation and Airport Safety

• The project is near Huntingburg Airport approach paths; solar panels can create glare hazards affecting pilot visibility.
• Solar farm height and reflectivity may interfere with safe gliding or emergency landing of light aircraft (Cessna 172, PA-68, etc.).
• FAA consultation or approvals for the project are unclear or may be incomplete.

Environmental and Land Use Concerns

• Large solar arrays impact farmland, local wildlife, and drainage patterns, increasing potential flooding risks.
• Permanent land conversion may reduce agricultural productivity in primarily rural areas.

Community and Municipal Authority
