Letter to
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon
Horrific crimes against children are being committed in Syria’s conflict. Boys and girls are being killed, maimed and tortured. These appalling violations against children must stop, and those carrying them out held to account. By officially counting the crimes following this month’s Security Council Open Debate on Children and Armed Conflict, the UN has the power to send a clear message to all sides in Syria that these atrocities will not be tolerated. Please ensure that the UN and its member states are deploying all the resources necessary to ensure that crimes against the children of Syria are systematically recorded.
