Hello Wonderful Community,
We’re so grateful for your continued support and dedication! We know how precious weekends are, so a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at our April 4th meeting. Your time and enthusiasm mean the world to us!
Here’s a Friendly Recap:
Who We Are – PECA (Protect the Emerald Coast Alliance):
• We’re a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, proudly powered by volunteers—no salaries here, just passion!
• We’ve got offices in Fort Walton Beach and Washington, DC, and legal support in Washington, DC, and Tallahassee.
• Transparency is our promise: an independent accounting firm oversees every penny.
• Our mission? To protect the beauty and future of Freeport, Walton County, and the Emerald Coast.
Teaming Up for Impact: We’re building core committees to make a bigger difference. Here’s where we’d love your help:
• Environmental Crew: Dive into air, water, soil, wildlife, and keep our parks thriving.
• Safety Squad: Tackle road safety, traffic solutions, and Hwy 20 improvements.
• Government Gurus: Join us at city and county meetings to stay in the know.
• Outreach Champions: Spread the word, connect with businesses, and rally community spirit.
Every bit of help counts—whether it’s a big idea or a small step, we’d love to have you! Interested? Just let us know!
Donating - A Little About Giving: We get it—talking money can feel awkward. But to protect our property and quality of life, every contribution, no matter the size, is a decisive step toward preserving the value of our homes. Our finances are an open book, managed by an independent firm, and every dollar goes straight to the causes we care about.
Important: Your donations are kept private and anonymous. We do not report what a private citizen or business donates, so your privacy is assured.

What Your Support Can Do:
• Hire independent experts (think water, soil, and traffic pros) to gather the needed facts.
• Provide legal support to stand firm against the asphalt company’s plans.
• Run Local TV/Radio/Print and Digital Billboard ads
• Our goal is $100,000 over the next 60 days. Together, we’d have what it takes to show the County solid reasons to say “no” to the asphalt plant. Your donation helps.
We’re not anti-business or anti-asphalt—we’re all about innovative, safe, and sustainable growth that lifts Freeport and our surrounding neighbors along this beautiful coast. This is our moment to shape a future we’re proud to pass on!
Thank you for standing with us to build a brighter, greener tomorrow for our community and our kids. Every voice, every act of support, every donation—big or small—makes a difference. You can donate, learn, or get involved at www.protecttheemeraldcoastalliance.org

With gratitude and optimism,
