There are 1367 homeowners in RiverWalk.  There are three governing documents.  The original three RiverWalk Documents required more than 50% to vote yes to approve an amendment.  This means 684 homeowners must vote yes to approve an amendment.

In February 2022, a change was made to one of the three documents, the Declaration of Covenants, that reduced the number of homeowners to a 410 quorum and 80% to approve an amendment.  This means 328 homeowners can vote yes to approve an amendment.  It is 80% of how many members vote with at least 410 members voting on an amendment.

A new proposal has been mailed out to homeowners recently which would change all three governing documents to a 410 quorum and 65% to approve an amendment.  This means 267 homeowners can vote yes to approve an amendment.  It is 65% of how many members vote with at least 410 members voting on an amendment.  

This means any amendment on any subject could be approved by a minority of our members.  Considering the CCF amendment was passed by more than the original number needed of 684 approval votes, this amendment should not pass.  

Vote NO on this mailed ballot and return to the HOA office by January 15th.  Let us maintain our majority approval of amendments and not a minority approval of amendments.
