IMPORTANT HOWELL TOWNSHIP DATA CENTER UPDATE - PLEASE READ:
The developer associated with the Howell Township data center proposal has withdrawn their rezoning application. While we can take a moment to celebrate the strength of our opposition, we believe they're decision to do so is a tactical pause, not a final decision.
Residents spoke up loud and clear against this proposal — that’s what made a difference — but it seems clear the developer intends to return as soon as they believe they’ve influenced the process in their favor or changed the Township Board’s mind.
The Howell Township Board meeting is still on for tonight and we are urging everyone to attend!
Howell Township Board Meeting
Monday, December 8th at 6:30PM
Rod Bushey Performing Arts Center
1200 W Grand River Ave
Howell, MI 48843
This meeting is an important opportunity for us to hear directly from the Township - and to engage together without being under the immediate pressure and anxiety of a developer proposal.
Please attend the meeting tonight to hear directly from the Board what this withdrawal means and where we are now. And continue to remain engaged as this is not over - we must engage with and encourage the Township Board to write an ordinance to protect us and prepare for the developer to return.
Thank you for fighting alongside us and see you tonight!
