I live in a community that values its tranquility, clean air, and reliable access to resources. The prospect of a new data center being constructed near our homes threatens this balance and poses numerous concerns that cannot be overlooked.

Firstly, the introduction of a data center into our neighborhood could lead to significantly higher energy bills. Data centers are notorious for their massive energy consumption, and this burden would likely be shared with local residents. Why should we have to pay more so that companies can profit off infrastructure that doesn't serve our community's needs?

Moreover, data centers require vast amounts of freshwater to cool their operations. In areas where water should be responsibly managed, this strain on resources is untenable.
