As a Co-operative shareholder I am requesting you to create an emergency motion to be voted on at your AGM on 18th May 2024 regarding an immediate stop to stocking all Israeli produce within your stores.

Fruit and vegetables from Israel are actually grown on land stolen from Palestinian people, using stolen water. Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land is illegal under international law.

The purchase of this produce and all other Israeli goods also helps fund Israel’s ongoing apartheid and genocide against the Palestinian people.

Just as during apartheid in South Africa, when our governments and institutions have failed to stop Israel's ongoing violations of international law, horrific crimes and slaughter of thousands of Palestinians, we must act as civil society.  
  
I will not be purchasing any items from Israel from your stores and urge you to stop funding genocide and apartheid by removing all Israeli goods across all your stores with immediate effect.
