City staff are currently recommending the closure of the Levack Arena to council in the form of a budget savings. 

If this fixture of the community is closed what will be left for residents of onaping falls? This would put events like the annual Trisport in serious jeopardy. This would also mean the end of the onaping falls minor hockey association which produced such NHLers as Dave Taylor, Troy Mallette, and Dave Hannon. With no arena and minor hockey association how can this community develop its next NHL star? Memories and stories of the Huskies of the 1980s one of the winningest hockey clubs in  jr.a hockey history lost to time in the dust of where their arena once stood
