The public consultation on Falkirk Council’s proposals for Enhanced Provision has now closed, with over 1,300 responses submitted via the Council’s Participate+ platform.
The Council will now begin reviewing these responses, and we understand that Education Scotland will also provide a professional and independent report on the educational aspects of the proposed changes. This is a vital step toward ensuring transparency and fairness in how the consultation findings are interpreted.
But while the consultation stage may be over — our campaign is not.
We’re continuing to:
🔹 Meet with local councillors to push for accountability and proper engagement with families.
🔹 Petition to attend the December Council meeting so that parent and community voices are heard directly.
🔹 Engage with media outlets to keep public attention on this issue.
🔹 Connect with support groups and networks across Scotland who share our concerns about inclusion and equity in ASN education.
We still need your support — your signatures, your stories, and your voices.
The Council is not expected to formally vote on this proposal until February 2026, which means there is still time to make a difference and fight for the right outcome for all children in Falkirk.
Together, we can make sure every child gets the support they deserve. 💙
