Please see message below with instructions for providing feedback on the Renfree Field Renovation Project.
“Save Del Paso Park!” encourages all supporters to please send in comments expressing no expectation that the finished project will be properly maintained- because there are no City residents living anywhere nearby, and the City admits that they have no money to do the maintenance.

“Dear Del Paso Regional Park Stakeholders:
The city would like to provide an update on the Henry Renfree Field Renovations Project. As you know we have previously coordinated with the Del Paso Regional Park stakeholders on the proposed project. We appreciate your time and interest, and we want to confirm the review process as we move forward.
The document we will prepare for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) is an Initial Study, which we believe will support a mitigated negative declaration (MND). The MND will identify mitigation that we anticipate will reduce any significant effects of the project to a less-than-significant level.
The process:
An Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration for Anticipated Subsequent Projects under the 2035 General Plan Master Environmental Impact Report (EIR) (Initial Study) is being prepared for the Harry Renfree Field Renovations Project at Del Paso Regional Park by the City of Sacramento Community Development Department, 300 Richards Boulevard, 3rd Floor, Sacramento, CA 95811, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Public Resources Code Sections 21000 et seq.), State CEQA Guidelines (Title 14 Section 15000 et seq. of the California Code of Regulations), and Sacramento Local Environmental Regulations (Resolution 91-892) adopted by the City of Sacramento.
The Initial Study will review the discussions of cumulative impacts, growth-inducing impacts, and irreversible significant effects in the 2035 General Plan Master EIR to determine their adequacy for the project (see State CEQA Guidelines Section 15178(b) and (c)) and identify any potential new or additional project-specific significant environmental effects that were not analyzed in the Master EIR. The mitigated negative declaration (MND) will identify and mitigation measures that may avoid or mitigate the identified effects to a less-than-significant level.
The City will circulate the Initial Study and proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration for public comment for a period of 30 days with a Notice of Intent (NOI) that confirms the City’s intention to adopt the Initial Study and MND to satisfy CEQA requirements. The NOI will be available on the City’s website at http://www.cityofsacramento.org/Community-Development/Planning/Environmental/Impact-Reports We anticipate the circulation will begin in mid-August.
The City will be soliciting views through email or letters from interested persons and agencies on the content of the environmental information presented in the Initial Study. Written comments should be sent no later than the 30-day review period posted on the NOI. The NOI will include the name and address of City staff to who written comments should be submitted.
