With Coventry already on the block, if the developers are given a pass now because the Plough Lane venue is in a poor state after years of neglect, how long will it be before they come knocking for Mildenhall, Arena Essex, Ringwood, St Day or Arlington? Realistically, with Wimbledon being on the door step of both London's media hubs and the country's leaders at Westminster, this is our sport's best chance to draw a line in the sand and say "No more!" To try to defend a track in a provincial town, will always be considerably harder than to do so in the nation's Capital.
